Psychoeducational Assessment
Psychoeducational assessments provide a comprehensive evaluation of child or teens learning profile includes areas of strength and challenge. These assessments are commonly used to assess for ADHD, Specific Learning Disorders (i.e., Dyslexia, Dysgraphia, and Dyscalculia), intellectual functioning, giftedness, as well as mental health challenges (e.g., anxiety, low mood) that may be interfering with learning.
The process includes a caregiver interview, review of records (e.g., report cards), two to three assessment sessions (2-3 hours each), completion of standardized questionnaires and a feedback meeting (with caregivers and/or with the child). A written report will be provided.

Mental Health Assessment
Mental health assessments evaluate a client's current social, emotional, and behavioural functioning. Dr. Quistberg's approach is informed by the therapeutic assessment model — a collaborative process designed to help children and teens develop a deeper understanding of themselves, including their strengths, challenges, emotions, and behaviours.
The assessment process typically includes interviews with the young person and their caregivers, standardized questionnaires, and other clinical tools. Beyond providing clarity and key insights to guide future therapy, therapeutic assessments are designed to leave clients and families feeling truly understood and empowered as they move forward.
